Am I that Desperate?

I went to the grocery store last night and on the way out there was a lottery machine. After hearing on the news of a guy that won $100,000 on a scratch off ticket, I thought 'Why not?' and put a $20 bill in the machine. I chose a $1 ticket and waited for my change....and waited, .......and waited. Then I noticed in small print where I inserted the $20, that the machine does not give change and also a little message that stated 'do not bet more than you can afford'. I was so ticked because typically I don't buy lottery tickets and anything is more than I can afford. I proceeded to choose $20 worth of tickets so I could hurry out of there before someone I knew saw me. Once I got home, my husband and I scratched all the tickets. To our surprise we won exactly $20.00. What a relief to get my money back. I think I'll go buy another ticket!

I only buy tickets when I'm feeling lucky. Weird I know.
I usually win at least my money back so I gotta go with what works :)

$20 winners are not the norm. I hope you kept your money. I'm not that smart and continue to invest. It's a poor investment.
